My journey to becoming a therapist began after several years of working as post-doctoral research assistant and realizing I enjoyed the idea of what I was doing but was deeply unhappy with the reality of it.
This disconnect lead me down a path toward changing my career, becoming a parent, and understanding that perfectionism had fully driven my life for all of my years up until that point.
Deep denial ("I’m not a perfectionist, I know I’m not perfect, there are just right and wrong ways to do things and I want to make sure I do it right…") slowly gave way to....
acceptance,
confidence,
and peace.
